Grow Beneath the Surface is about the kind of transformation that happens quietly, before anyone else can see it. The figure holds the coral as if embracing a part of herself that’s been forming beneath the noise for a long time. Underwater, everything slows down — growth becomes softer, more internal, more honest. The light on her skin and the way she blends into the environment show how change can feel when you finally stop resisting it. This piece became a reminder to me that some of the most important shifts don’t happen above the surface; they take shape in the depths, where you learn to hold what’s growing and let it become part of you.
